I’m sad to report the MGYSGT E.D. Dial passed away in his sleep on Friday Night 2/12/10. After weeks of thrashing Red Tape, Margie got a hospital bed provided by the VA at their home. E.D. had been in and out of the hospital and caretaker home and in pain for the past fifteenth months. She had the bathroom remodeled for wheel chair access and so looked forward to have him at home.  JACKSONVILLE – CWO-4 Henry Ashe Bookhardt, USMC (RET), 91, of Jacksonville died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at East Carolina Heart Institute in Greenville.
Mr. Bookhardt was born Nov. 22, 1918, to the late Waldo and Wilhelmina Metts Bookhardt in Elloree, S.C. Henry was a three war Marine having served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam during a 30 year career from 1940 to 1970. He was the oldest member of the Marine Corps Tankers Association. Gary W. Michaelson, 54, of Nitro passed away Tuesday, May 13, at Thomas Memorial hospital, South Charleston.
He was a retired Marine Corps sergeant, having served in Vietnam. Gary is survived by his son, Gregory Kyle Michaelson; father, Henry Michaelson; mother, Elsie M.  The MCTA would like to thank David Duff, son of LtCol John C. Duff who recently submitted photos from his fathers locker found after his passing in 1992. Pictures include the 3rd Platoon, A Co. 3rd Tank Battalion, 3rd Marine Division with Mt. Fuji, Japan in the background.
