It is with a sad heart that we announce that Major Gene Duncan passed away February 14th at his home in Fort Wayne Indiana around 7pm. Thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. He certainly epitomized the saying – “Once a Marine, Always a Marine” and will most certainly be missed by his Tanker family. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

It is getting close to that time where applications for the John Cornelius/Max English Scholarship awards are due. The deadline for arrival is no later than 15 March. Your first semester of your senior year of high school or previous first semester of college transcripts must be included so don’t submit too early but meet the deadline. Tuesday October 26th, 2010 Friends and fellow Marines: Doctor Motom, the oncologist who is working with me, met with me this morning.He had lots of good things to say. The cancer noted on first CT scan has shrunk to small size. He told me that he cannot predict life span, but I should see several more months, perhaps a year.
